HANNA MARTENS/ Durango Herald<br><br>07/19/13-- Durango-- Bob Riggio searches through the seemingly endless rows of books at the Friends of the Durango Public Library Book Sale on Friday. The Durango Public Library hopes to sell all of the books by the end of the sale on Saturday or donate them to different organizations around town.
The “Big Bag” book sale will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 3-4, at Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.
Community members are invited to fill a Friends of the Library bag with books for $10. The sale will feature a large selection of books in every genre, including children’s books for toddler-age kids to high-schoolers, holiday books and a books suitable for stocking-stuffers. Those who renew Friends of the Library memberships for $5 will qualify for a chance to win a bag of books of their preference.
Each participant is limited to three $10 bags; books that exceed the limit will be sold at $1 per pound.
Proceeds go to Durango Public Library and its branches.
