Purgatory Resort’s first Community Benefit Day of the 2019-20 ski season will be Sunday.
Formerly known as Locals’ Benefit Day, Community Benefit Day allows Purgatory to connect with local nonprofits to raise money for their cause. Last year, Purgatory donated $25,000 to Mountain Studies Institute and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Colorado during Community Benefit Days.
Discounted lift tickets are available online at bit.ly/35fGBBF and must be purchased online at least 48 hours in advance.
The beneficiary for this Community Benefit Day is the Mountain Studies Institute. Since 2002, MSI has worked to educate and empower communities through mountain research and education.
A portion of ticket sales from this day will support MSI and the second annual San Juan Youth Resiliency Summit on April 16, 2020.
Demos will also be available for $20 on Sunday from local shops.
