After the recent snowfall, Purgatory Resort has seen 12 inches of fresh powder in the past 24 hours with nine inches falling overnight and resort officials are gearing up for a snowy holiday season.
Purgatory is now over 55% open, with skiing and riding available on 59 out of 107 trails, and there's more terrain on the horizon with a base of 23 inches. Lift 8 is on track to open tomorrow servicing expert terrain on the backside of the mountain.
While the tubing hill was supposed to be opened tomorrow, Dec. 22 is the new target date for the opening.
