As a fellow dog owner, I was dismayed by Ean McCormick’s letter (Herald, April 30) regarding human behavior and dog friendliness. It appears McCormick feels that other people are responsible for his dogs barking. I realize dogs will bark, but it is the owner who is responsible for stopping the behavior. I find barking dogs very annoying, and, obviously, the dogs are not under anyone’s control. I would guess many of the pedestrians and cyclists passing his property are dog owners themselves and feel the same way I do.
