Kiley Raica picked up two of the Fort Lewis College softball team’s three wins in the Skyhawks’ season-opening tournament over the weekend.
The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference recognized her with its Pitcher of the Week award.
Raica, a transfer from Grand Canyon, pitched 14 2/3 innings and allowed just eight earned runs while striking out eight batters in three starts.
Raica pitched the Skyhawks to a 5-3 win over Texas-Permian Basin on Friday at the Desert Stinger in Las Vegas, then an 8-4 victory over Notre Dame de Namur on Sunday.
New Mexico Highlands infielder Dekota Monarrez was named the RMAC Player of the Week.
FLC (3-2) will return to action against Texas A&M-Kingsville and Eastern New Mexico on Friday in Canyon, Texas, for the West Texas A&M University Invitational. FLC will play five games this weekend.
