Let’s raise the level of discourse on the Herald’s editorial page. The June 12 editorial regarding Eric Cantor makes it clear the Herald disagrees with the tea party. Surely, you could have articulated this stance without resorting to name calling, i.e., “crazies.” This sets the wrong tone for a community publication. A recent diatribe against the NRA (from a different source) called members spoiled brats and illiterates. Whether we agree with these organizations or not, our opinions can be communicated more thoughtfully than with elementary school insults.
