Raising crosses to raise awareness

Gordy Herrick of Durango hammers in crosses as part of the Crosses Project. When completed, the project will include 9,000 crosses on Chapman Hill to bring awareness to world hunger. Each cross represents two kids who die from hunger-related causes every day. “We have younger people and retired people that all have a heart for the needy,” Herrick said.
