Ranchers should be able to protect livestock

I have enjoyed reading The Durango Herald ever since I moved here from Grand Lake four years ago.

The Feb. 12 edition had two very interesting articles. The one, “What’s in a name?,” was very interesting and informative. The other one about the wolf reintroduction was excellent. Where we lived in Grand Lake was only 12 miles from Walden, where the rancher lost four head of cattle and his border collie. Only the idiots in Denver voted for Proposition 114. Colorado’s laws concerning killing wolves if they damage your livestock, pets, etc., are crazy. Why are they so different from our neighboring states? When it comes to shooting damaging wolves, only Lauren Boebert has the right idea.

On another issue, we used to get home delivery of USA Today, which we and many of our friends enjoyed. Once it went to the U.S. mail for delivery, it was three to four days late getting to our mailboxes. I was wondering if the Herald’s delivery people would also be interested in delivering USA Today. All the people I know would even be willing to pay the Herald a surcharge if they could arrange this.
