There is a new option in town to help solve cellphone and tablet woes.
Charles “CJ” Hawkins, opened Rapid Device Repair in November on Main Avenue after working at Screensavers as a technician.
He will work on Apple, Samsung, LG, Motorola and HTC phones.
“I’m willing to help anybody,” he said.
Rapid Device offers solutions for battery issues and water damage, he said.
Just testing a water-damaged phone to see if it can be fixed is about $20. He can also help if the headphone jack breaks off inside the phone or there are problems with the phone’s microphone or speaker.
For one of the most common issues, a broken screen, the price of the repair depends on the price of the parts, but Hawkins also promises to beat any quotes for repairs in town.
“I don’t need to get rich off people’s unfortunate mistakes,” he said.
If the device does need to be replaced, he can also help transfer data from one device to another.
Rapid Device Repair opened at 1140 Main Ave. Suite B.
