Rapidly rising

Workers are finishing the second of four whitewater features under construction at Santa Rita Park. Scott McClain, the city of Durango’s landscape architect, says the four bank-to-bank structures will start at Smelter Rapid and end at Clock Tower Rapid. The project is scheduled to be completed in spring.
