Opinion Editorial Cartoons Op-Ed Editorials Letters to the Editor

Reader takes issue with Herald’s online functions

I recently tried to communicate with two Herald editors. After two tries, I thought I would write a letter to the editor in hopes that they would see it and respond.

First off, the inability of online readers to comment on a lot of The Colorado Sun stories is frustrating, as is the constant requirement to log in every time you visit the Herald website on a mobile device.

As I understand it, editors have the option of turning the comments feature on or off at will. It appears that certain stories that will draw negative comments toward conservatives and their actions will always have the comments section open while questionable deeds by progressives usually have the comments sections closed.

Finally, why does the Herald depend on Facebook for the comments feature when there are other sources out there to use?
