At 9-1, senior guard Katie Wiegert and the Durango High School girls basketball team couldn’t wait to get back on their home floor and face Farmington’s Piedra Vista High School (8-6) on Tuesday. But Mother Nature had other plans, and heavy snow in the Four Corners led to school cancellations and postponed games. But the Demons didn’t wait long to see the Lady Panthers, who will visit DHS at 7 p.m. Friday night. The DHS boys team (3-6) also will travel to Farmington to play Piedra Vista (8-7) at the Jerry A. Conner Fieldhouse.
