The Durango Community Recreation Center aquatics area will be closed Sunday through Nov. 1 to perform various repairs and equipment upgrades. Some upgrades include replacing old play equipment in the kids’ pool, including the six-sided play castle with water cannons, which is being auctioned to the public. The entire recreation center will be closed Oct. 16 to 22 for annual repair and maintenance.
Because of the floor refinishing project, the racquetball courts will be closed at 3 p.m. Oct. 15. The administrative office and front desk will remain open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The facility will reopen at 10 a.m. Oct. 23 for all activities except the aquatic area.
