The Durango Public Library Advisory Board will honor the Library Community Champions Nancy Peake and Maile Kane at a reception at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.
The event is free and open to the public.
The Durango Public Library Advisory Board singles out certain people for their commitment through the Library Community Champion initiative. The board selected Peake and Kane for their work on the Friends of the Durango Public Library Board.
Proclamations will also be read in their honor at the Durango City Council meeting at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 15 at City Hall, 949 East Second Ave.
