The leisure pool at Durango Community Recreation Center is now open for family/open swim from 1 to 5 p.m. Mondays to Fridays and from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturdays.
These rules and restrictions apply:
All children younger than 14 must have a parent in the water. The parent/guardian will be responsible for ensuring themselves and their children maintain the required 6 feet of social distancing from other swimmers.All customers entering the aquatics area during open swim, including those who do not intend to swim or be in the water, must pay the daily entry fee or have their pass scanned. There is a 40 person capacity limit for the leisure pool area. This includes the hot tub, leisure lap lanes and lazy river. Once the leisure pool reaches capacity, Guest Services will add customers’ names to a wait list to enter when capacity limits allow.Because of capacity requirements, customers are asked to limit their time in the facility to 90 minutes.Patrons may enter the facility and aquatics area at the designated family/open swim time. All people must leave the leisure pool at the end of family/open swim.Masks are required in the Recreation Center, including the aquatics area, and may be removed when entering the water.Pool toys will be in operation.
