Red Mountain Pass on U.S. Highway 550 will be closed 7:30 a.m. to about noon Wednesday, from two miles south of Ouray to Ironton, for avalanche-control equipment testing, the Colorado Department of Transportation said in a release.
Crews will be on the ground and in helicopters during the closure.
