Redwine case revisited on ‘Dr. Phil’

Elaine Hatfield, formerly Redwine, has taped a new television segment on ‘Dr. Phil’ concerning her late son, Dylan, but no air date has been scheduled.

After appearing on a two-part “Dr. Phil” show in 2013, Elaine Hatfield, formerly Redwine, has taped another appearance on the nationally syndicated television show.

For months in 2012 and 2013, La Plata County residents and the world searched for 13-year-old Dylan Redwine, with his parents – Mark Redwine and Hatfield – appearing on “Dr. Phil” and frequent updates from CNN legal host Nancy Grace.

After some of Dylan’s remains were found in June 2013, the search shifted to looking for answers in his death. Thus far, no answers have been forthcoming, although the La Plata County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Dan Bender has said the investigation remains ongoing. In February, on a radio podcast, Hatfield expressed her determination to move the case forward in 2015.

Neil Schubert, vice president of communications for the “Dr. Phil” show, said the segment has been taped, but no air date has been scheduled.
