Region 9 Economic Development District of Southwest Colorado announced that Peyton Heitzman and Tuggy Dunton were appointed to its Board of Directors to represent two government jurisdictions.
Heitzman is the city of Cortez management intern. She attended Fort Lewis College graduated with a public policy degree from University of Colorado at Denver.
Dunton has worked for the town of Ignacio since 2016 and currently serves as its town clerk. She holds a master’s degree in marriage and family counseling and has worked for various organizations, including nonprofits WINGS of Freedom, Inc. and Four Directions, Inc., which she co-founded with her husband.
