Eric Jones will join the Region 9 Economic Development District’s Business Loan Fund Committee as a lender representative.
Jones is a commercial loan officer at Bank of the San Juan’s and a previous “Lender of the Year” Awardee for Region 9. Jones started with Bank of the San Juan’s in April 2013 with previous banking experience from First National Bank of Durango. Jones is a Fort Lewis College graduate and long-time Durango resident.
Region 9’s Loan Committee is composed of two representatives from each of the five counties in southwest Colorado, plus two at-large positions with at least one person with loan making experience, one person with an accounting background, one person with a real estate background and two with a background in business. Jones was approved by the Region 9 Executive Committee April 6 to fill the spot being vacated by Pam Miles, who is retiring.
