Region 9 Economic Development District of Southwest Colorado, along with nonprofit lender partners Colorado Lending Source and Colorado Enterprise Fund, will help distribute an $8 million dollar grant to provide loan capital throughout the state.
Eligible businesses include those helping to create or retain jobs as an effort to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. The program will serve minority, immigrant, women, disabled and veteran-owned businesses as well as businesses in low income and rural communities.
Forty percent of the funds will be allocated to non-urban areas and Region 9 will work with the nonprofit lender community to make sure these funds reach businesses that may need additional support beyond what is currently available from the federal government and state agencies, nonprofit lenders, banks and other sources of private capital.
