Region 9 Economic Development District recently hired Brian Rose as a business resource specialist.
Rose was previously the senior vice president for Alpine Bank and has 15 years of commercial lending experience. He will oversee the Region 9 loan program and work with county-level economic development groups, which include Southwest Small Business Development Center and Southwest Colorado Accelerator Program for Entrepreneurs.
Rose moved in 2011 to Durango from the San Luis Valley, where he was employed at High Country Bank. He a member of Durango Nature Studies and a board member and coach for Youth Baseball of Southwest Colorado.
