The Region 9 Economic Development District of Southwest Colorado has approved two new board members at its September board meeting.
Jason Armstrong, community and economic development coordinator, was appointed as the town of Mancos representative and Cassie Alexander, vice president-senior loan officer with First National Bank of Cortez as the new Montezuma at-large position.
Region 9 also said goodbye to long-term board and executive committee member Dewayne Findley. Findley retired from the board after 20 years of service and is a retired banker from Montezuma County.
The new members join the Region 9 board which is composed of 26 members – 17 representatives from the local governmental jurisdictions and nine members from the private sector. The Region 9 board meets quarterly.
