Following a no-hitter performance by pitcher Taed Heydinger and a 4-0 defeat of Trinidad, the Bayfield Wolverines sealed their state fate with a 10-0 thumping of Sheridan High School on Saturday.
The boys now move on to the Great 8 in 3A play. As of early Saturday evening, 3A brackets had not been released.
The Bayfield Wolverine girls scored a historic soccer playoff win on Friday!
Lydia Larson scored a goal in a win against Manitou Springs, winning a first-round game for BHS 1-0. They then hit sixth-ranked Jefferson Academy, losing Saturday one to six.
The Ignacio Bobcats are out of state basball playoff action after losing to Hotckhkiss Friday, 14-0.
