Online registration is open through June 25 for the Artists’ Alpine Holiday 58th Annual Juried Art Exhibit.
Categories include; oil/acrylic, watercolor, drawing & printmaking, pastel, mixed media, sculpture, photography and a student division. All entries will be eligible for Best in Show ($500) and each category will have awards for first ($400), second ($200) and third ($100) place.
The show will take place at the Ouray Community Center July 26 - August 4, 2018.
Go to ourayarts.org for more information and to register. Nearly 300 artists enter the show each year, bringing over 400 works of art. The show is generally attended by close to 2,000 visitors and approximately 10 percent or more of the art is sold during the show’s run each year. Proceeds from a percentage of sales, as well as memberships and cash donations, are used to support ongoing shows.
All of those involved in the planning and operation of shows are volunteers – including the officers and committee chairpersons.
