Reindeer lives all alone near Ignacio

There is a reindeer out near Ignacio, and it is owned by the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. It is used for the Christmas train.

This poor animal is a hoofed animal, and they need to live in groups. Yet it lives there alone. It looks lonely, it looks depressed, it needs a friend. I need the community to be aware that the train is housing one single reindeer. It’s out near Ignacio, it’s hot and it’s alone. The animal’s needs are met physically – it has shade it has food and water.

With that being said, the animal is alone. Yes, there are people who live on the property, but it needs other hoofed friends. Animals like that live in groups.

I am writing this letter today to have someone help me, help them get this poor creature another reindeer, as we all know Santa Claus has at least nine. I am not trying to get the train in trouble, I just can’t stop thinking about this poor reindeer.

Is there anyone out there who knows anything about reindeer and their needs? Does anyone have a goat they could donate to live with the poor thing? It would be so much happier! It is not fair to keep this animal in solitary confinement.
