Methodists to begin sermon series on Moses
The First United Methodist Church, 2917 Aspen Drive, will begin a new sermon series focusing on the story of Moses and the lessons his life teaches today: lessons on relationships, leadership, faith and family.
Moses is the dominant figure of the Old Testament. The congregation will discover how God, working through Moses’ story, speaks into people’s lives.
Services will take place at 5:30 p.m. Saturday and 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday.

Durango Methodist church to discuss prayer, faith
First United Methodist Church, 2917 Aspen Drive, will present “Prayer – Faith or Foolish?” led by JoAnn Holpuch from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Sept. 12.
Sessions will include: “God Calls Us to Pray,” “Believing the Promises of God,” “Praying with Authority” and “Praying with Blessings.”
There is no charge for this course. However, a lunch of either salad bar or sandwich will be provided for $7.

Farmington church to offer Woman2Woman event
The Four Corners Woman2Woman Conference sponsored by Cross Roads Community Church will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 26 at 2400 N. Butler, Farmington.
The theme of the conference is “Brave and Beautiful.” The speaker will be Pam Farrel, author of Men are Like Waffles, Women are Like Spaghetti.
