Christ the King Lutheran Church will host a youth-oriented outdoor service at 9 a.m. Sunday in Rotary Park, at 15th Street and East Second Avenue.

The Rev. Kevin Novack at St. Columba Catholic Church will lead a five-week discussion about Laudato, Si!, Pope Francis’ encyclical about the environment.
Novack will lead a group study about church teachings and caring for the natural world. Discussions will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays on June 29 and July 6, 13, 20, 27, in the parish center, 1800 East Second Ave.

Participants should read chapter one in preparation for the first class.

The Christ the King Lutheran Church Youth Group will serve its “Noodles & Doodles” spaghetti dinner from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The community is invited. The dinner will help raise money for a trip to Olathe.
The group will attend a Christian worship concert called “Night Vision” during its July trip.
At the dinner, members of the youth group will display artwork for a silent auction.
The dinner will be held at the church, 495 Florida Road, and is $7 for adults and $4 for children younger than 12.
