Buddha Dharma study group to meet

The Durango Buddha Dharma Study Group will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Rocky Mountain Retreat, 848 East Third Ave.

The book Vivid Awareness, The Mind Instructions of Khenpo Gangshar, published with commentary by Thrangu Rinpoche, will be the focus of this book study. Khenpo Gangshar gave this teaching in Tibet in 1957 on the eve of the final invasion and Chinese takeover of the country.

Vivid Awareness explains and details Mahamudra practice, and Thrangu Rinpoche’s commentary is unique, as he received this teaching directly from Khenpo Gangshar in 1957.

The book is available to order through local bookstores and online.
