St. Columba Parish, 1800 East Second Ave., will offer the education program, “Bridge Over Troubled Waters,” at 12:30 p.m. April 17 in the Parish Center.
Dr. Matthew Clark, a local internist and pediatrician and health columnist for The Durango Herald, will explore the potential role of evolution and genetics as well as potential environmental variables influencing human anxiety.
Refreshments will be provided.
The public is invited to join Congregation Har Shalom, 2537 County Road 203, to celebrate Passover Across America at 5 p.m. April 22.
Participants will attend a seder. They will learn the basic meaning, explanations and customs of the seder.
The main course and side dishes will be catered by Kennebec Café with potluck salads and desserts. All food will be kosher for Passover and dairy free with some gluten-free options.
The cost is $20 for members, $27 for nonmembers and children younger than 5 are free.
