Rosary Day for Life to be held Jan. 22
St. Columba Parish invites the community to join in a Rosary Day for Life from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 22 in the church, 1800 East Second Ave.
The rosary will be led continuously each half hour. These prayers will be offered for the lives of the unborn and the dignity of all life.
Pope delivers message to mark the Epiphany
VATICAN CITY – Pope Francis says “restless hearts” are seeking sure answers to life’s questions without finding them.
Francis voiced this reflection during Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica on Wednesday to mark Epiphany, recalling the Gospel account of the Three Kings, or Magi.
The pontiff said the church is tasked with “showing ever more clearly the desire for God which is present in the heart of every man and woman.”
Francis said: “Like the Magi, countless people in our own day have a ‘restless heart’ which continues to seek without finding sure answers.”
