St. Columba to discuss end-of-life issues Nov. 8

Dr. Matthew Clark will discuss topics such as euthanasia, physician assisted suicide, withdrawal of life support, palliative care and hospice after the 11:30 a.m. Mass on Nov. 8 at the St. Columba Parish Center, 1800 East Second Ave.

Adults of all ages are invited to come and be informed about these topics. A light lunch will be served.

Baptists’ Bible study to address Book of Daniel

First Southern Baptist Church, 1715 West Second Ave., will study the Old Testament’s Book of Daniel during its 14-week winter Bible study session at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays beginning Nov. 4 in the sanctuary.

The Book of Daniel is one of the earliest books in the Bible to introduce evangelical concepts such as the rapture, tribulation and the Antichrist.

The class will be taught by Tom Cummins, who holds a master’s degree in Christian education. All are welcome.
