At St. Columba, doctor to discuss end-of-life issues

Dr. Matthew Clark will discuss euthanasia, physician-assisted suicide, withdrawal of life support, palliative care and hospice after the 11:30 a.m. Mass on Nov. 8 at the St. Columba Parish Center, 1800 East Second Ave.

Adults of all ages are invited to come to be informed about these topics. A light lunch will be served.

United Methodist Church to begin sermon series

This weekend, the First United Methodist Church will begin a new three-week sermon series called “How Will You Measure Your Life?”

Drawing from scripture, the Rev. Jeff Huber will look at how what people choose and value has far greater impact on their lives than what they achieve and acquire.

Weekly services are held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday and 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday.

After service, church to host Trunk or Treat

First United Methodist Church, 2917 Aspen Drive, will host Trunk or Treat on Saturday.

The church will host a service at 5:30 p.m. After worship, around 6:45 p.m., kids will be able to trick-or-treat from car to car in the church’s parking lot.
