Orthodox church to host services during Holy Week

Holy Prophet Elijah Orthodox Mission, 691 County Road 233, Unit B-5, will host these Holy Week services:

Holy Monday – Bridegroom Matins will take place at 5:30 p.m. Monday.Holy Tuesday – Bridegroom Matins will take place at 5:30 p.m. Holy Wednesday – Pre-sanctified Liturgy will be held at 4:30 p.m.Holy Unction will take place at 6 p.m. Wednesday.Holy Thursday – Matins with Passion Gospels will be held at 5:30 p.m.Holy Friday – Vespers with procession of shroud will take place at 4:30 p.m.Matins with Lamentations will take place at 6 p.m. Friday.Holy Saturday – Vesperal Liturgy will take place at 10 a.m. April 30.Paschal Nocturns will take place at 11:30 p.m. April 30.Pascha (Easter) – Matins and Divine Liturgy will take place at a midnight service May 1. Sacred Heart to serve annual spaghetti supper

The annual Spaghetti-Meatball Supper will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. April 30 at Sacred Heart Parish, 254 East Fifth Ave.

The cost for adults is $10, children 6 to 12 are $5 and children younger than 6 are free.

The menu will include spaghetti, meatballs, drinks, salad, bread and pizzelli cookies.

National Day of Prayer to meet at Rotary Park

A National Day of Prayer event will take place at noon May 5 in Rotary Park.
