Unitarian Universalists to explore psychic’s work
Dennis Aronson will give a talk called “Edgar Cayce: The Soul’s Journey” at 10 a.m. Sunday at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Durango, 419 San Juan Drive.
The 20th-century psychic Edgar Cayce talked about the development of people’s immortal souls during each of their earthly lives. Cayce said people are a reflection of their soul, which changes during their various reincarnations.
Aronson recently served as vice president of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Durango Board of Trustees and has spoken a number of times to the fellowship. He has studied Cayce for many years.
Rabbinical student to serve at Har Shalom
Eli Herb will visit the Congregation Har Shalom, 2537 County Road 203.
Herb is a fifth-year rabbinical student and friend of Har Shalom, and he will serve as its spiritual leader for six weeks this summer.
Herb will facilitate a discussion about faith – the first of the summer series called “Difficult Questions” at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
Faith is often a concept that Jews associate with other religions, and yet Judaism is heavily laden with articles of faith – for example: that God is “One.”
A light breakfast will be provided. There is a suggested donation per class of $18.
