The July 2025 FBI memo stated there are 1,000+ victims of Jeffrey Epstein’s and Ghislaine Maxwell’s sex trafficking ring. Some members of the Trump administration have expressed concern for the victims, but not our “Consoler in Chief.”
In a recent interview, Trump went from saying he didn’t know if victim Virginia Giuffre worked at Mar-a-Lago, to acknowledging she did, to griping that Epstein stole her from him, to bragging that his spa was “one of the best in the world,” to saying “she had no complaints about us, as you know.”
Wow, talk about compassion.
Why not say “Regardless of whether Virginia worked at my spa or not, the victims deserve justice for the disgusting crimes committed against them by Epstein and Maxwell, and I’ll see to it that Maxwell remains in prison.” But no, the greater “crime” in Trump’s mind was that Epstein “stole” his employees. How could Trump not have empathy for those girls? He has daughters and granddaughters after all.
It’s important to remember and have compassion for the victims whether we know them or not. We either know or have been girls that age, or have mothers, daughters, sisters, etc., who were once that age. So please, let’s not lose sight of that.
And let’s hope that Trump doesn’t pardon or give any more leniency to Maxwell, who deserves neither. Doing so would be victimizing those girls (now women) all over again.
