Our district voted in a purported centrist last November but, sadly, we got a representative who is in lockstep with a Republican House bent on capitulating to Trump’s every whim.
Rep. Hurd has to return to work, roll up his sleeves and work across the aisle to pass a continuing resolution and reopen the government. In order to support his constituents, this CR needs to include an extension of ACA benefits and funding for SNAP.
It would be amazing to see our legislative branch reclaim some independence from the president. Rep. Hurd, please return to your job.
