Rep. Hurd, you voted against your district

Nothing says I am afraid to hear from my constituents like having no staff in your Durango office. I dropped by to express my concerns regarding the “BBB” and there was no one there and no one to contact locally.

Now that you have voted for this morally abhorrent bill, I can’t help thinking that you don’t care that so many of my neighbors will likely lose their health care, and that you are willing to mortgage the future of this country so rich people get even richer.

You recently stated that you would never vote against the interests of our district but there is nothing in this bill that is good for the economy or the well-being of Southwest Colorado. The antisolar provisions are particularly insane if we want to grow the local economy.

I believe that you actually know these things but are choosing to be a Trumpista rather than a responsible elected representative of our district. Recently, I encountered the words “Jeff Hurd is a rat” scrawled on the sidewalk. Sounds like a 2026 campaign slogan to me.
