Resignation leaves opening on Bayfield Town Board

Trustee James Sanders has submitted his resignation from the Town of Bayfield Board of Trustees. The board is currently accepting letters of interest and resumes from individuals qualified for the open seat. Individuals need to be 18 years old, a registered voter, and have lived within town limits for at least 12 consecutive months.

The board anticipates appointing a new trustee at its Aug. 15 meeting.

There are typically two meetings per month, on the first and third Tuesday of each month, with additional meetings from time to time.

Compensation is $100 per month.

The appointment is for the remainder of Trustee Sanders' term, which expires April 3, 2018.

For consideration, letters of interest should be addressed to Mayor and Board of Trustees, Town of Bayfield, 1199 Bayfield Parkway, PO Box 80, Bayfield, CO 81122 and delivered to Town Clerk Kathy Cathcart by noon Friday, Aug. 11.
