Responsible adults must safeguard our children

A couple of Saturday morning shows ago, the CNN program hosted by Michael Smerconish ran a poll of about 30,000 people across the U.S., and 84% stated that the child predators tied to the millions of Epstein pages – still being reviewed and redacted by the DOJ – will not reveal decades of VIP violators.

Cheers to British King Charles for acting to dethrone his younger brother, caught up in this Epstein mess. Boo to the privileged and wicked whose names were conveniently blacked out before reaching our Congressional handlers.

Most of Epstein’s victims in the 1990s into the 21st century were recruited at the tender ages of 14 to 16. I recently read a New York Times article with redacted pictures of children as young as 11. In a Hollywood section covering several blocks, these younger children were reportedly more “popular” than 14-year-olds. The 11-year-olds received the highest payouts, according to a vice squad trying to stop all of it. Like addictive drugs, sex with youngsters is a separate and devastating addiction.

It is sickening that this Epstein saga was not stopped early, allowing countless adults to escape citation and leaving the youngest victims – some just 11 years old – vulnerable. Much more must be done to protect our children from decades of sexual predators and, simultaneously, to confront the ongoing tragedy of lethal school shootings.
