Retired teacher celebrating 100th birthday

Former Allison resident Ruth Embleton, a teacher at Florida Mesa Elementary and Miller Jr. High School in Durango, will celebrate her 100th birthday on June 30. After teaching for many years, she retired to the family ranch near Allison. She recently moved to Vernal, Utah to be with her daughter, Barbara Meek. Cards may be sent to Ruth at 1766 East 1700 South, Vernal, UT, 84078. An open house will be held in her honor on Friday, July 3 at the Vernal Christian Church.
