Durango Dharma Center leader Bill Ball will present a daylong retreat on cultivating equanimity in the face of difficulty from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 22 at the Dharma Center, 1800 East Third Ave., Suite 109.
The retreat will include formal sitting, walking and guided meditation as well as dharma talks. Through intentional cultivation of equanimity, it’s possible to experience less reactivity to events and develop the ability to abide with contentment and joy not dependent on circumstances. New and experienced meditators are welcome.
