It is unfortunate that too many Americans do not realize what (or more specifically who) we are truly at war with and how we can fight that war.
The plan of attack has been hidden from us for millenniums and it is up to us to find it again. We are not at war with each other, but with evil that we cannot see. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
“Satan hates children. Every child born into the world is an aggravation and a menace to him. He resents that human beings carry the image of God, an immortal soul and the potential to reign over the earth with God in place of him. For that reason, he is every concocting new strategies to eliminate children. He has many weapons in his arsenal: disease, famine, pestilence, violence, and abortion.”
I would like to add to that list, bullying and social media.
Our purpose on this earth is to have a relationship with the God in Heaven who made us. That’s it. That’s all folks. Anything outside of that is like a cat trying to climb up a glass window. What He wants for you is almost never what we want or think we need for ourselves.
But we’ll never learn that while Satan is still in this world, unless we turn to Jesus and study his Word. That applies to the Middle East, the Far East and anywhere in this world where there is chaos with any kind of weapon. Satan has control of this earth.
It is up to each of us individually to turn from Satan and call on God. Re-runs of movies and TV shows from the 50s and 60s are popular. People like to reminisce over the days where there was a moral code in our society. What happened to that code? I don’t think it is coincidence that that code started to disappear when we took prayer out of our schools starting sometime around the mid-60s.
Before we start ranting about gun control — which puts the blame on someone else — let’s look inside at ourselves. Who are we? Look what we’ve become. What have we lost and how do we get it back?
