Revival Goods, a new fair trade store in downtown Durango, will host a grand opening from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the store, 600 Main Ave., No. 102.
Emily Schmidt and Brooke Mooney, twin sisters who grew up in Southwest Colorado, have been dreaming about doing business together for years. With Revival Goods, they have curated a collection of artisan fair-trade goods from around the world. The store carries home, lifestyle and gift products.
Schmidt designs her own clothing and jewelry and works with women coming out of sexual exploitation in Thailand to produce them. The store carries these products.
Revival Goods is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
