With summer nipping at our heels, the season of charitable runs and walks is upon us. But we may be reaching critical mass.
River Run for Orphans, which has raised more than $440,000 for orphans around the world, has had to change the date for its seventh outing because the original date, Aug. 23, was already taken by The Durango Pregnancy Center for its fifth Family 5K Walk/Run, and there are only so many runners/walkers around.
The new date for River Run for Orphans is Sept. 6. Other River Runs will be held this year in Grand Junction, Pagosa Springs, Washington, D.C., and Magic Valley, Idaho.
