Road construction worker struck and killed in Colorado

BRIGHTON – The Colorado State Patrol says a construction worker has died after being hit by a vehicle.

The patrol says the worker was a flagger at a project in Adams County when the worker was hit about 2:50 p.m. Wednesday.

The worker, who was employed by a private company, was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Police say the driver of the vehicle involved in the collision stayed at the scene.

The name of the victim was not immediately released.

The incident remains under investigation.
