Road Runner cuts Monday, Tuesday bus to Grand Junction

Road Runner Stage Lines, the bus line that serves the Durango-Grand Junction route, has reduced its service to five days a week, and will no longer run on Mondays and Tuesdays.

To better maintain vehicles and provide reliable transportation, Road Runner Stage Lines, the bus line that serves the Durango-Grand Junction route, has reduced its service to five days a week, and will no longer run on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Road Runner Stage Lines was developed by Ignacio-based nonprofit Southern Ute Community Action Programs, which operates Road Runner Transit in La Plata County. The nonprofit, Colorado Department of Transportation and Greyhound are working to secure a basic-maintenance facility near Durango, and hire and train a mechanic before service is restored to seven days a week.

The bus will continue to run Wednesday through Sunday. No changes were made to route stop locations, which include Durango, Mancos, Cortez, Dolores, Rico, Telluride, Placerville, Ridgway, Montrose, Delta and Grand Junction.
