Colorado Department of Transportation announced contractors will begin work at the Durango Mall intersection at U.S. Highway 550/160 and Sawyer Drive on Monday.
Construction at the entrance of the mall on Sawyer Drive will improve and reconfigure lanes, improve sidewalks and improve signal timing. Work is expected to be completed in early May.
Drivers can expect minimal travel impacts for all directions at the intersection, and will encounter possible lane shifts at the east turn into the mall and delays through the work zone. Work hours will be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
