La Plata County recently contracted with Crossfire LLC to complete a road improvement project in Ignacio on County Road 517, from its intersection with Highway 172 to Howe Drive.
Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, July 10, and expected to last until November. Work hours will be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday.
During the project, crews will install a traffic signal at the intersection of County Road 517 and Highway 172 and make urban road improvements, including curbs, gutters, storm drains and sidewalks.
Traffic may be reduced to one lane while work is in progress, and drivers should anticipate delays of up to 10 minutes.
