Robert Logan for CU Regent

Voters from Congressional District 3 will elect our representative to the University of Colorado Board of Regents this November. The CU Board of Regents oversees major decisions made for the University of Colorado. These include approving the yearly budget, hiring the president, auditor, treasurer and secretary, and setting tuition rates for each campus. It serves an essential role in our state government since this position was written into our state Constitution in 1876.

Robert Logan is the best candidate for this position. He is a respected veteran teacher who taught at Durango High School for 27 years. He has served as an instructional coach and volunteers with the Durango Education Foundation. He is a sixth-generation Coloradan raised in Southwest Colorado and an USAF veteran. He has the necessary experience to represent CD3 well on the CU Board of Regents.

Robert will work to make the University of Colorado more relevant to the people of CD3. He supports the recently created nursing program at Fort Lewis College that was made possible by a collaboration with CU. He would like to find more opportunities for CU to work with the learning institutions of our district. He would also work to make education at CU more accessible for young people from our part of the state.

I strongly urge you to vote for Robert Logan for CU Board of Regents.
