Rollover reported east of Bayfield

One injury reported

Law enforcement and emergency services responded to a rollover accident about eight miles east of Bayfield on U.S. Highway 160 at about 8:35 p.m. Friday.

Trooper Josh Lewis with the Colorado State Patrol said it was a one-vehicle crash involving a 2010 Honda pickup. The vehicle went off the road and down an embankment near milemarker 108, he said.

Upper Pine Fire Protection District responded and transported the driver to Mercy Regional Medical Center.

“There’s nothing available yet about the extent of the driver’s injuries,” Lewis said, “and they’re still classifying it as property damage.”

There was no other information as to how the crash occurred. There may have been some slowed traffic in the area, Lewis said, because of emergency vehicles on the highway, but the crashed vehicle itself was off the road.
